Lifelong Education: Orientation of the Past and the Challenges of the Future in

Thinking skills have been highlighted in the new education system in Nagara Brunei Darussalam (SPN21)
to meet the challenges of lifelong education. According to Tishman, Perkins and Jay (1995) a thinking
culture is about how to transform the culture of a particular classroom into a culture of thinking, with the purpose of teaching thinking to prepare students for a future of effective problem-solving, thoughtful decision making and lifelong learning.
