Have you tasted the Malay Baryani rice? Baryani rice is famous in Muar and Batu Pahat in Johor State, the southern part of Malaysia. Usually, baryani rice is served in a wedding reception especially in Muar and Batu Pahat. It is actually a part of the Malay culture, in Johore. If you have an opportunity to be invited to a wedding reception in Johor, you will have a great experience enjoying baryani rice and at the same time feeling joyful. For me, it is a “food of love and caring”. Through my observation today at Batu Pahat, Johore, baryani is also available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Baryani rice in Batu Pahat and Muar is unique due to its special ingredient especially its gravy and tenderness of the chicken or beef or lamb (we called as chicken baryani or beef baryani or lamb baryani) which is the main dish, rich with its original spice. Come over to Batu Pahat and Muar to enjoy the unique baryani rice.
